Cavaform International is a global leader in the design and manufacture of tight tolerance molds and is immediately hiring for all described 1st and 2nd shift positions – paying a shift differential premium. Applicants with multiple abilities described below will be most desired.

Cavaform International, LLC currently has immediate openings for 1st & 2nd shift positions: Surface Grinder, Quality Control Inspector, Sinker/Wire EDM, CNC Mill and/or Lathe Programmer/Operator, Master Mold Maker and Mold Polisher.

Listed Positions are for Full-Time 1st and 2nd Shift

1st Shift: 7:00AM -3:30PM

2nd Shift: 3:30PM – 12:00AM (shift differential)

Pay range is commensurate on experience.

Surface Grinder

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to stand for several hours comfortably
  • Must be comfortable with reading advanced blueprints with strong math capabilities
  • Machining pars with proficiency while holding tight-tolerances
  • You will inspect our work and document finding onto proper inspection reports
  • Competent of performing ball drops, roll dimensions and over/under inspection. Capable of setting up square check, angle plats and sine plates.

Qualification/Skills:

Education:

  • Required: Hight School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred: Diploma for technical/trade school or 5 years grinding-experience working equivalent

Technical:

  • Required: must have your own set of personal tools (Height stands, Indicators, Micrometers, and Calipers) and must be competent in reading a blueprint
  • Required: Must be comfortable holding tight-tolerances
  • Required: Must be able to inspect own work with a strong aptitude to troubleshoot
  • Preferred: Must have basic comprehension of DedTru operations
  • Required: Capable of form-dressing and grinding a plus

Quality Control Inspector

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform setup, in-process, incoming and final inspection audits of components
  • Perform inspections utilizing optical and mechanical measurement equipment
  • Maintain and update quality records
  • Support the operators in the review and containment of product quality
  • Initiate reject/scrap tickets (non-conforming) processes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, inspection plans, engineering drawings and specifications
  • Communicate quality status to tool room and operators
  • Inspect material to an inspection test plan
  • Perform visual inspections of finished and in process components
  • Maintain a safe work environment and good housekeeping practice

Qualifications/Skills:

Education:

  • Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Required: 2 years minimum Inspector Experience

Technical:

  • Required: Ability to use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators
  • Required: Inspect material to an inspection test plan
  • Required: Strong knowledge of mathematical operations (e.g. measure conversions)
  • Required: Know and understand basic quality terms, definitions and concepts
  • Required: Understand types of measurement, measurement terminology and the different types of measurement scales
  • Required: must be able to identify/recognize inspection errors
  • Required: Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Required: Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Preferred: Mitutoyo CMM experience a plus

Sinker/Wire EDM

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use Quality Manual and procedures to be able to identify product with non-conformance
  • Recoding personal inspection onto proper report
  • Use of comparators, micro-heights and understanding of Quality Control Reports
  • Provide technical support to less experienced employees
  • Exceptional understanding of various EDM applications with initiative to build and design fixtures to improve lead-time and quality
  • Set-up and operate both manual and CNC machines/Running multiple machines
  • Adjusting priorities to assist management with scheduling and delivery dates
  • Enduring EDM Department is clean and organized

Qualifications/Skills:

Education:

  • Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred: 15 Years minimum Sinker/Wire EDM Experience

Technical:

  • Required: Must have your own set of personal tools (Height stands, Indicators, Micrometers, and Sine Plates) and must be competent in reading blueprints
  • Required: Must have advanced knowledge of EDM parameters to increase efficiency, surface finish and over burn
  • Required: Ability to adjust parameters with no supervision to decrease erode time and improve surface finish quality

CNC Mill and/or Lathe Programmer/Operator

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and operate CNC turning lathes and/or mills
  • Install and properly align all tooling required to set-up new and repeat jobs
  • Prove-out new CNC programs and processes
  • Assist engineering personnel in trouble-shooting and corrective actions for programs, tooling, or process problems
  • Evaluate first piece inspection reports and document results
  • Preform in-process inspection including shadow graph, bore gauges, micrometers, sine plates, gauge pins and tooling balls
  • Make dimensional off0set adjustments and/or tooling changes as needed, in addition to monitoring general quality by knowledge of metal cutting parameters
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as the speed, feed and coolant flow. Able to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust the machine controls as needed
  • Responsible for operation of multiple machines at the same time
  • Responsible for strong understanding of blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances o finished work piece
  • Proper utilization of all items included in traveler folders (process sheets, set-up sheets, prints, quality plans)
  • Keep supervisor aware of any condition that may affect the efficiency, quality or completion of jobs
  • Set-up and operate secondary machines and deburring operations
  • Keep a clan and safe machine and work areas
  • Assist maintenance personnel in the trouble-shooting and repair of the machine
  • Communicate with personnel for other shifts involved in the operation of the machine
  • Responsible to maintain acceptable quality and efficiency standards
  • Responsible for understanding quality manual and procedures
  • Identify product with on-conformance
  • Provide technical leadership to less experienced employees

Qualifications/Skills:

Education:

  • Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred: Certificate form any technical/trade school or college

Technical:

  • Required: Experience of CNC Mill and/or Lathe Programmer/Operator
  • Required: Understand all G-Code, capable of copying, editing programs with no supervision, programing knowledge with ability to set-up and operate multiple machines at once.
  • Preferred: Computer knowledge – Word and Excel

Mold Polisher

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time easily and comfortably
  • Must be able to work 50 hours/week
  • Completion of all required documentation (SPI, time records, inspection reports and travelers, process updates, discrepant part tags)
  • keep supervisor aware of any condition that may affect the efficiency, quality, or completion of jobs
  • Communicate with personnel from other shifts involved in the operation of the machine
  • Responsible for understanding of quality manual and procedures
  • Identify product with non-conformance
  • Provide technical leadership to less experienced employees
  • Recording personal inspection onto proper report
  • Consistently meet and/or exceed estimated times
  • Creating inspection reports and work instructions
  • Work with Quality Control and all other departments for first piece qualifications

Qualifications/Skills:

Education:

  • Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred: CDiploma form technical/trade school or work experience equivalent

Technical:

  • Required: Must have your own set of personal tools related to mold making trade
  • Required: Must have advanced blueprint reading and math capabilities
  • Required: Advanced knowledge of inspection techniques
  • Required: Capable of polishing to SPI A1/Optical Finish
  • Required: 15 years minimum Polishing Experience, in a machine shop

Master Mold Maker

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership to all mold group employees
  • Independently operate & validate mold components form various types of machinery while maintaining tolerances
  • Thorough understanding of quality manual and procedures
  • Setting up & operating all manual equipment required for mold building application
  • Consistently meet and/or exceed estimated times
  • Perform all final fit and function operations to complete a successful mold build
  • Determine root causes and problems discovered during mold sampling
  • Optimize processes through continuous improvement efforts with no supervision
  • Work with quality control and all l other departments for first piece qualifications

Qualifications/Skills:

Education:

  • Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred: 15 years minimum experience of plastic mold building application and inspection techniques

Technical:

  • Required: Must have your own set of personal tools related to mold making trade
  • Required: Must have advanced knowledge of Plastic mold building application and inspection techniques

Reception/Office Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for the company-professionally answers a multi-line phone system and assists with receiving visitors adhering to Cavaform’s phone/visitor policies.
  • Assist with making travel arrangements for employees and/or customers, providing all final documentation to accounting
  • Create a welcome board for visiting customers
  • Arrange breakfast and/or lunch for executive and/or on-site customer meetings
  • Responsible for the ordering, maintenance, and organization of office supplies. Coordinating with all departments to determine needs.
  • Maintain the functioning/maintenance of company office equipment, Print Fleet program (printers & copiers), and Pitney Bowes mailing machine by collaborating with vendors and scheduling maintenance as necessary
  • Responsible for the maintenance and functioning of secured door system (CDVI)- issuing key fobs to new employees and assisting with any new requests for a change to access.
  • Maintain the stock of refreshments in the three on-site kitchens/coffee bars ensuring adequate supplies are maintained
  • Responsible for light cleaning of front office/front lobby/copier room/front bathroom spaces
  • Responsible for ordering and collaborating with printing vendors for new shirts, business cards or other marketing items for all employees.
  • And other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:

Education:

  • Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred: Notary

Technical:

  • Required: Highly-experienced in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher)
  • Required: 2 years in an office environment / executive support
  • Preferred: Notary

CNC ID/OD GRINDER

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to stand for several hours comfortably
  • Must be comfortable with reading basic blueprints with math capabilities
  • Machining parts with proficiency while holding tight-tolerances
  • perform P.M. on machines and log into proper Q.C. PM maintenance logs
  • You will inspect your work and adjust as needed to by troubleshooting
  • You will complete P.M. on equipment and keep logs of activity
